I'm looking for a mid size black tote or large hobo bag but I've some very specific likes and dislikes so thought I'd turn to the gurus for some recommendations Wink

Soft leather, not pebble leather, not too shiny and stiff
No branding or if not so minuscule you can't notice it. I'm not so fussed about a 'big' name in fact probably suffer from reverse snobbery!
Must have lining - ideally at least one pocket but its more that I really dislike the raw leather interiors
Minimal metal - I don't like zips, and studs and fuss
Thinking around 200-250 because I want something I'll use for years and a lot but not so expensive I don't feel like I can't throw it around

I have a Petit Parisian in tan which I love and ticks many boxes but its expensive for what it is even with the current sale and I don't love the look of it in black on the web site

For my work bag I have a pewter longchamp 3D which is excellent but too wide for what I have in mind.

I like the look of aspinal hobo even though hobo its got about the right level of slouch, but beyond what I'm looking to spend

I like this one from ATP Atelier ATP but not the strap, looks uncomfortable. Or this Cuyana but no lining

I guess my ask is any other brand suggestions I should look at? Thanks so much

I’ve just bought a Mulberry bag to replace the very same one that I sold a couple of months ago...🙄 turns out I wasn’t ready to be without it...

Needless to say I won’t be buying any more bags for a while now!

Oh no! Yes, I was just lamenting a lovely belt I donated and now considering buying another one just the same 🤦‍♀️.

I've heard this is called Kondo Regret Grin. Minimalism has a lot to answer for Wink

I do feel rather silly! But at least I can console myself that a) I bought it pre-loved so it’s not a huge amount of money, and b) I bought it for less than I sold mine for. Hopefully it’ll be in excellent, pretty much as new condition like mine was! Honestly though sometimes I wish I didn’t love bags so much (or maybe I should wish that I could have loads more money...😆).

Thank you, I've just ordered this! (not that I needed another bag, but your honour it was a bargain!).

Thanks @lsjdkviwworin, that bag is perfect for work as I need to resume commuting into the city come sept. Have purchased!

lsjdkviwworin · 23/06/2021 19:04

You won't regret it I promise!

Saw this in house of Fraser a few weeks back by Ralph lauren I think. I believe it was under two hundred.
