Help me pack

Going away tomorrow for a week. Four days of that will be in Scotland. Haven't packed a single thing yet for myself, DH or DS(4). Needs to be minimal!

I'm thinking (for myself):

Leggings & tee with trainers for travelling.
2 pairs of jeans
Denim shorts
1 x midi skirt
5 x tops
2 x jumpers
Cargo jacket
Birkenstocks
Pjs & underwear (obvs)

Any additions?! I always leave this until the last minute.

I’m not sure you have enough bottoms and I would have many many more pairs of shoes (but that’s just me).

I'm so out of the habit of packing! I just did one night away and took me ages to pack- what would have previously taken.

Your list looks good.

But depends on activities - a week on a city break would be different to a week in the mountains.

I don't really wear jeans so I would take 1 jeans and a summer trouser or jogger type thing or another skirt instead? And I would want 7 tops mix of vests, t shirts, one 'nice' top. May be a dress if you like them - I do!

And another sandal or flip flop

Have you checked the forecast for where you are going? Waterproof jacket is often useful in Scotland, and yes midge repellent!

Ohh I didn't know about Scottish midges!!

I should add, the Scotland bit will be city based and we will be staying with friends for the rest of the week so will be able to do some washing.

I've ended up with 8 tops, mix of tshirts, vests, and a nicer top. Two jumpers and might add a cardi. Will put in a smarter pair of flats in case we go for a nice dinner or something.

Will add waterproof to the list too.

You should be safe from midges in the city hopefully. I went to a Loch at the weekend and got eaten alive!

For 4 days, do you really need 2 pairs of jeans?
