Hate 99% of the clothes that shops are selling!

Hate it. It's been so hard buying clothes for the last 5 years now. I'm 32, pear shaped, size 10 and just want some normal nice clothes that flatter my figure but are also practical.

I can spend hours and hours looking at clothing websites and not like a single thing.

I'm fed up of huge sleeves, ribbed clothing, velvet clothing, massive skirts, tiny skirts, dungarees, tent tops, etc.

Most stuff seems to be tarty or frumpy. Any suggestions for good shops here?

I used to live in France and didn't find it particularly good tbh. If anything there's more variety here, as so much is available online.

That’s quite the sweeping statement @newnortherner111 😂

I agree there's some horrible clothing in the shops...I rarely find anything I like

I went around lots of shops on Saturday. I only saw one thing I liked and that thing just wasn't practical (extremely long and too low-cut white dress).

I've bought some good stuff from Kin recently, cotton/linen, poplin trousers, shirts etc but they are quite oversized, so not much good if you are quite short/small. Cos tends to be relatively unfussy but it has embraced the puff-sleeve look.

I'm plus size and everything seems to be high necked, midi length, frilly, tiered and overly floral, it really doesn't suit me. I want simple patterns and natural fabrics. I haven't bought anything new for summer as everything looks too Little House on the Prairie.
