Going "out out" outfit

Help me find a going out outfit. I'm really struggling to know where and what to look for that won't leave me looking middle-aged and frumpy.

It is for a night out in the local city centre, cocktails in a bar, dinner and drinks. Fairly young and fashionable places, not really my usual places.

I am early 40s, and thanks to lockdown a bit fatter than usual. I probably need an 18 to accommodate my G cup bosom, but I am top heavy, my hips and bottom are a 14, but I have a bit of a tummy. I'm 5ft8 so reasonably tall.

I fancy a midi dress (although I am open to other ideas). I don't feel comfortable in a short skirt without tights. I'd love a jumpsuit but they seem very unflattering on anyone larger. I can see lots of lovely dresses but they are more day time dresses.

I am happy to wear heels.

Any suggestions? Specific photos/links ideally with styling tips for someone in a bit of a rut.

Budget under £100.
