My partner and I cannot find slim waist jogging bottoms for his son anywhere. (Before anyone think I’m stepping on anyone’s toes, the wee mans mum decided to have nothing to do with him since he was 2). My step son is coming up for ten but he is teeny tiny in the waist. Some of his shorts are for ages 4-5 and 5-6. He’s so slender but needs the length. I’ve looked everywhere and I’ve had to send back all of the ones I’ve ordered.
The ones that are advertised as “slim” or “skinny” fit are, usually, the leg tightness rather than the waist size. HELP!!! Thanks in advance!!! xxx

I think you might have to buy the size needed for the length and have a seamstress take in the waist. They could even make them a little bigger with drawstring so he could get plenty of wear out of them.
I've had to do this for my son when buying a set eg. Tracksuit as he is correct age / size in top but maybe 1 to 2 size smaller in bottoms due to being slim.
I think it will be practically impossible to buy the correct size needed for the length for a nearly 10 year old, with a waist size for age 4 - 6. How does he get on with other trousers / school trousers etc?
Good luck, hope you get sorted.

Have you looked in M&S? They do long and extra long length. So you could by for a younger age to help with the waist size but go for a longer leg?
