@Salanda what are Rouje like to order from? Are returns free? I love the clothes but always thought returns could be costly. I love Sezane and fund them easy to order from.

I love that RI halterneck top - gorgeous.

@Lan2020 I think returns are free but haven’t had to return anything so best check. Otherwise fine to order from - I’ve found the dispatch times can be a little slow, nothing terrible but can take a few days.

What's the quality of Rouje stuff like? Some of it looks nice, and I know it's all 90s influenced, but some of it looks like the kind of thing Bianca used to sell on her market stall in Eastenders back in the day.

ASOS and Zalando will sell a multitude of brands, which will get you started. Avoid anywhere cheap like New Look - too teen and the cheapness just really shows.

Abercrombie and Fitch - no seriously - often have some really nice tops in their range, it's not all tees and jeans. Superdry, too, is a really odd place that does Dad-at-a-barbeque t-shirts on one side and women's floaty skirts and folk-style blouses on the other, once you look past the hoodies. The fabric is higher quality than you'd find in cheapy polyester-addled stores and the stitching very strong. The clothes really last.

Muji can be very nice for plain basic tops that are cut so nicely it elevates them to something a little more special, whilst still being casual. Uniqlo too.

Ted Baker has always been a bit staid.
The polka dot tie up and the floral sezane are okay.

It's hard atm as the trend is for dresses so non cropped tops are a bit thin on the ground. I'd try Zara like PP said, maybe Never fully dressed and river island.

Silk Fred have lots of more ‘grown up’ tops than ASOS etc

@ Lan2020 I think you have to pay for returns to Rouje - at least you did a few months ago.

@ScribblyBaller Rouje quality is fine but it doesn’t justify the price, you’re paying for the brand. I’d class it as similar to Other Stories. I have a fair amount of Rouje as the sizing works well for me but I tend to buy in the sales/second hand. They have an archive sale on at the moment so you might find a bargain.
