It looks really nice on. I’m 5’8” and size 18.
I’ll buy some medium black wedge sandals, wedding is in a marquee on grass so no stilettos, I probably can’t walk in them anyway after a year of flats Grin

Also, any ideas of what to pop over for when it’s chillier are welcome please!

Not sure what you would put over it though. I am not too good at that stuff. I don’t suppose a denim jacket would do Smile

Kaftankween · 21/06/2021 10:43

Yes that’s perfect for a wedding. Wonder if black wedges will be a bit heavy looking, brown or nude better? Marquees are usually boiling so a jacket might not be needed. A wrap or shawl? Have fun. You’re going to look lovely.

WhereDidIGoNext · 21/06/2021 10:46

Yes it’s fine for a wedding op

M0rT · 21/06/2021 10:47

They have these little suede jackets now, in a short denim jacket style.
I think one of those in a warm brown or raspberry colour with lighter coloured wedges would be good.
Advantage that you could get a lot more wear from it than a wrap.
It is a lovely dress.

Gullible2021 · 21/06/2021 10:51

Yes that will be absolutely fine - gorgeous colour! I'd go with sandals the colour the model is wearing though, black won't look right.

WineGetsMeThroughIt · 21/06/2021 10:52

It's a lovely dress OP. Although I would probably recommend a brown / tan / nude / cream or similar colour shoe with that dress. I think a black wedge will look very chunky and clunky and draw attention to your feet heather than the dress and your face.

ApolloandDaphne · 21/06/2021 10:52

It is a lovely dress but I think tan wedges would look much better with it.

WineGetsMeThroughIt · 21/06/2021 10:53

*rather than your face. Gold would work too btw

EllaPaella · 21/06/2021 10:53

Ooh it's lovely OP - you will look gorgeous in that dress. Agree with all the sandal advice, black may be a bit too harsh.

LakeShoreD · 21/06/2021 10:55

Lovely dress but don’t wear it with black shoes. Cream or nude would be much nicer.

Shallysally · 21/06/2021 11:01

Ah thanks all! Will have a look at tan wedges.

And thank you M0rT, will look for a short suede jacket. You are right, re after wearability.

Lovely and love the tan wedges and suede jacket ideas.

Shallysally · 21/06/2021 14:22

I’ve found this, it’s linen but could work? Is the colour ok please? Am rubbish at this stuff just lately!

No the jacket is too casual. Look up cream/beige bolero type covers or a nice, plain occasion scarf in this colour and similar colour wedges.

PurplePansy05 · 21/06/2021 14:27

This type thing would go, but not necessarily with shimmer and depending on the weather, you might want it slightly thicker.

Thank you! I like the non crush factor of that too Purple, as opposed to linen.

Lovely dress .

Something like this www.johnlewis.com/studio-8-carrie-cover-up-knit-cardigan-ivory/p5130223

Seasalt often do a similar type of cardigan.

Hoppinggreen · 21/06/2021 14:39

It’s a lovely colour
