Professional hairdryer

Any recommendations? How much should I spend? I have 2 DD's that are swimming twice a week. One in particular has very thick hair, I have shoulder length hair so between the 3 of us it's a lot of hair to get dry! I am looking for a hairdryer that drys hair fast and doesn't damage the hair either. Is GHD the one to buy?

Actually think I mean Dyson rather than GHD. Any thoughts?

Check out Paralux advanced Light

stressbucket1 · 20/06/2021 12:44

Oh they are about a third of the price of Dyson! Well worth considering. Thanks

Parlux. Ours is 10 years old and going strong (bar minor repair to cord holder) and used at least twice a day.

Angbunnyboo · 20/06/2021 16:15

My salon uses Parlux. I've got a Dyson which is really good but I find the temp settings all too hot, even the lowest is really hot.

Snally82 · 20/06/2021 16:33

The Dyson took way longer to dry my hair than my GHD (which is super old now).

Also have heard great things about Parlux though.

stressbucket1 · 20/06/2021 18:11

That's great thanks, sounds like parlux is the leader then. I have also looked at the GHD helios. I mostly want it to dry hair faster as we are using it so often but parlux being lightweight is a good feature too.
I've gone off Dyson now. Twice the price of the other suggestions and doesn't seem worth it

Parlux

WeeM · 20/06/2021 23:04

I got a parlux after seeing them recommended on here and I love it. Worthy every penny Smile

CoolKitkat · 21/06/2021 09:12

Which Parlux would you recommend, there are several types? Does anyone know where might be a good place to get one, or if they have deals on these? Thanks!

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 21/06/2021 09:56

Parlux Alyon from Just My Look

Howshouldibehave · 21/06/2021 10:02

I have a Dyson and it’s brilliant-halved the drying time of the one I had before, is really quiet and my hair is in much better condition.

CoolKitkat · 21/06/2021 10:07

@MrsPelligrinoPetrichor

Parlux Alyon from Just My Look
Thank you!
poppy2021 · 21/06/2021 10:09

I have thick hair and my Parlux dries my hair in no time without drying it out. Not cheap but much much cheaper than a Dyson

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 21/06/2021 10:10

I have use a Dyson and much prefer my Parlux.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 21/06/2021 10:11

@CoolKitkat you're welcome Smile

Lemonteanomilk · 21/06/2021 20:44

I've just bought a GHD Helios and recommend it. I haven't tried a Parlux though.
