Saltwater sizing advice needed please!

I usually take a 5 1/2 or a small 6 in shoes... Can anyone advise if I'd be better in a size 5 or a size 6 in saltwaters please? Looking at the classic style ones in tan if that makes a difference.

I have wide feet and take a 6.5 and wear a 7 in saltwaters. They do stretch a bit as they wear in though as they’re proper leather with no lining etc.

I’m a 4/37 and mine are a 5. I find them really uncomfortable and have barely worn them - I think it’s that they are just SO flat - so I would say wear them about the house a bit first to make sure they are okay. (I did not do this!)
