Which jewellery with this wedding dress?

Getting married later this year, and I'll be wearing this dress (this is not me, obvs). I'll be wearing a fingertip veil as well, and possibly a pearl or possibly sparkly belt. What sort of jewellery would you go for? I can't decide between statement earrings or a statement(ish!) necklace.

Which jewellery with this wedding dress?

No necklace and the second earrings. No belt either.

Just diamond prices pearl studs and if you want a Pearl necklace I would say. Don't mess up the lovely lines of the dress with a sparkly belt! The flowers in the hair are lovely and match dress well.

Ohhh that ring is lovely!

You are one classy bride to be!

I bought my wedding dress recently she was amazed that none of them needed an bra and I'm FF! Are you sure you won't need one?

Myusernameisnotmyusernameno · 18/06/2021 22:46

And not she Hmm

Poppins2016 · 18/06/2021 22:53

Another vote for no belt, the dress is gorgeous as it is.

I would probably steer clear of a necklace and go for some elegant earrings. I rather like the pearl earrings you posted or you could go for something a little larger in size.

excelledyourself · 18/06/2021 22:56

That was just a google image, but it's from angara.com

I can't get into the page (my phone is playing up) so can't see why the price varies.

I had a dress with a different top shape (thin straps rather than the thicker off the shoulder ones of your gorgeous dress) but similar skirt line and un-embellished simplicity and my hair was in a similar up-do. I kept my jewellery simple - a cheap tiara, a small pendant on a fine chain (it was a family piece that was my something borrowed) small earrings, pretty watch and a ring of my grandma's but all were small and unobtrusive.

BasiliskStare · 19/06/2021 06:04

@MrsAldoKane - that ring is very lovely - so I would go either pearl drops as ear rings or ( as ring looks a bit art deco ) square diamond drops or studs ( do not necessarily need to be real thing as long as v good quality for what they are )

If you will be wearing a veil - think about fixings. I bought a relatively expensive tiara type thing from the woman I bought my long long french veil from and she dyed it it with tea to match the dress ) and on the morning of wedding I just put this tiara thing on and it looked like I had gone into the dressing up box. Grin My very great friend & I fashioned something out of a hair comb and some fake pearls to fasten it - I think it looked more elegant ( well I would wouldn't I ? )

I am of the less is more school of thought for an elegant wedding dress etc - but hey ho - my opinion is not everyone's

Sold tiara at an auction and got the money pretty much back so all good.

Definitely less is more, that's a beautiful dress @MrsAldoKane, I love your engagement ring as well.

Do you really want to have a veil? I'm not a massive fan of them personally and actually really regretted wearing mine. I think very simple pearl drop earrings would look stunning and be noticeable in pics etc, maybe with a fresh flower slide or a more blingy slide perhaps in your hair. Definitely no belt with that dress!

ginoclocksomewhere · 19/06/2021 07:46

OP my mum works in tailoring an often alters wedding gowns, for ladies with larger chests and strapless gowns, she ALWAYS recommends a bodice rather than a bra.

BEAUTIFUL dress, love both hairstyles (second the comment re no flowers), and second earrings. I LOVE your style!

here? Echo your engagement ring.

Then again I adored wearing a veil. Horses for courses I guess 👰

I'm not married but I love a veil on a bride! 😍

1000glitterydicks · 19/06/2021 07:59

a bit more money....

Morgan12 · 19/06/2021 08:02

Are you wearing a tiara?

EversoDelighted · 19/06/2021 08:08

I'd think twice about the veil too, I think it will detract from the beauty of that neckline (there is an element of personal preference I guess though, I don't like them at all with any dress).

A simple tiara or a few flowers tucked into the up-do, pearl drop earrings, no necklace and definitely no belt.

Love these @1000glitterydicks

The second earrings are lovely! I'd be tempted to look for a pair of vintage sapphire and diamond earrings to echo your ring. Second hand jewellery is much better value

MoreCoffeePlease2 · 19/06/2021 08:40

Ahhhh that was my wedding dress until we downsized the guests (to 30 haha) and I got something else. You'll look amazing, it's such a beautiful dress and so so flattering. As it's such a classic design I was planning on wearing some SERIOUSLY sparkling earrings and that was about it! Nothing chandelier-y, still sitting in the drop earring territory but still giving the whole thing a bit of oomph, and to echo a belt with a bit of sparkle on it too.
Good luck with the wedding, I'm sure you'll look gorgeous!
