Honest opinion. Think I like this t- shirt but not sure if it suits me.

Does it clash horribly with the leopard skirt.. I mean it does but is it a complete no no?

Please be kind. Put on a lot of weight recently and feeling a bit shit about myself.

Love you in the jeans.

Your figure looks so similar to mine. I’m almost 50 as well and finding it difficult to know what to wear after gaining a little bit of weight round the tummy - and even worse on my arms! But looking at your photos you don’t look like you’ve got a tummy at all.

I’m finding that although I am buying more baggy tops, I actually still look better with more fitted stuff. I have a similar skirt for example and it looks fab with plain more fitted t-shirts. Not that I can find any new ones.

I’ve also embraced the dress - I’m 5 7 and I feel that a midi shirt dress with a belt works well

Pushing 50? Wow, I also assumed 30s from the pics. The tshirt really suits you, as do the jeans and they look great together. You look lovely and slim even if you have put on weight!

I like the skirt on you too but I don't think it goes with the tshirt. I love a colour/pattern clash but I think because the skirt has warm beige/brown tones and the tshirt is made up of cool colours, the clash doesn't really work here. (Maybe I'm wrong tho!)

Someone on another thread recommended this t-shirt - www.boden.co.uk/en-gb/beatrice-jersey-top-navy/sty-j0920-nav?cat=C1_S2_G18 if you’re looking for something new

Looks great with the jeans. Not with the skirt. I'd go for a plain black t shirt with the skirt.

Thank you guys.. you're all so lovely.

Appreciate everyones opinion. I asked OH and he was non- commital, so knew if I asked the S&B Board I'd get honest opinions and good advice Smile

Like everyone else, I like it and I like it with the jeans it looks great on you. I really like the idea of it with the skirt and I too would try and put them together but there is something about the shape of the two items, rather than the colours/patterns that doesn't quite work. I think the t-shirt is too baggy for the volume of the skirt.

I feel your pain - I'm knocking 50 and a size bigger than I used to be, and also my waist is much thicker, even when I've been bigger before I've always had a fairly defined waist but now it's pretty much disappeared. In my head I'm still the same shape I used to be so its always a nasty shock when things that would definitely have suited me a few years ago no longer do. Pleated skirts are the most unflattering thing ever I look like Mavis the fucking fairy from Willo the Wisp.

I'm blaming peri menopause but lockdown boozing is probably also a factor if I'm honest. You are not alone!!

@GlassGlobe thanks.. really like that top.

@corahallett ugh I know exactly what you mean. You still feel about 25, but your body is telling you no!
