Black trainers with style and substance?

Hi all

Im looking for a pair of black trainers to wear with anything. I recently returned a pair of all black Adidas gazelles. They came up a little tight on the toe and felt... Flimsy?

I have plantar fascitis and chronic pain so I need a little more from my trainers.

I don't like fussy details. All black preferred but will look at other options. Not really looking for platform. Don't follow fashion, have my own style I guess you could call alternative. Wear DM boots a lot. Standard Size 7. Ideal scenario is to order online, and return if not suitable. Don't mind paying then getting a refund. Budget I think I would go up to £200 but they would have to be amazing. Can't think of anything else. Converse are too flimsy, vans haven't been my favourite - a bit ugly/chunky.

Happy to answer questions. Very greatful for help. I will just say if something isn't to my taste if that's okay.

Wore them for a whole day around a theme park yesterday and love them

So my trainers arrived yesterday. The vans felt very... Slight? I tried the superga on first which were just like a dream on my feet. They have a little bit of room in the toes and are definitely my aesthetic. I think I really like them with the rainbow laces as well. I tried the vans next with a view to keeping those as well but they were far too neat on the toes-like my toes were right up against the inside of the shoe. So they are boxed up ready to return.

Very happy with the superga. Have yet to wear them outside but the signs are good!

I wore my superga out last night for the first time and they are SO comfortable. I usually have shredded bleeding ankles and all sorts of dramatic issues with new shoes but they're perfect. I walked a mile as well so that's a fairly good test. Very pleased with my purchase,and they looked class with my new jumpsuit.
