Best fake tan for pale skin

SoTiredNeedHoliday · 17/06/2021 10:53

Hi, looking for a fake tan that will look natural on my very pale skin (think v pale Irish white skin with freckles).

What products are best?

Or should I go a spray tan?

Pale redhead here, I have always used St Tropez, I find the mousse easier to use. I do it two days before event I want a tan for as a tad too dark the next day plus chance to go over any bits you’ve missed.

St tropez is my best mate in a bottle! I always get compliments when I put it on. And as PP said the mousse is the easiest to apply for the best results. I find I can get away without putting foundation on as well.

Miseryisabutterfly · 17/06/2021 12:25

Definitely st tropez. If I were you I’d use the express one and leave it on for the minimum time!

StevieNix · 17/06/2021 12:28

I’m super pale and I use the st moritz mouse- it’s a dupe for the st tropez but is cheaper.

CharlotteRose90 · 17/06/2021 12:35

St tropez gradual tan is my life saver. I’ve got typical Irish skin and that is the only one that doesn’t make me go orange.

this on? gradual
and this? mousse

Hey there, I hope you don't mind me bumping this for more fake tan recommendations.. Asking for my extremely pale teen DD. There seem to be a lot of new brands out there since I tried and failed with fake tans and I don't know where to start ... not too expensive if possible

Furbaby2842 · 01/05/2022 19:59

St Tropez express. I am very pale. Apply and leave it on for max 3 hours then shower it off. Wake up the next morning with a lovely tan! No streaks either

LapinR0se · 01/05/2022 20:07

I’m Irish, have brown hair, green eyes and porcelain white skin. Also freckled and splodges.
I used to go for very regular spray tans in Ireland, also used mousse and foam blabla. Literally nothing could make me wear a dress, skirt or shorts unless I had tan on.

Now I live in Geneva and I have never, not even once, seen a person wearing fake tan. It makes me wonder what we are doing??? The first two summers here I persevered with the exfoliation, the application, the staining, the smell, the patchy wear off of fake tan. Now I never ever wear it. No one has ever commented on my pale skin and I feel a million times happier.

I am pale Irish, without a doubt, Bare by Vogue, medium mousse.
It gives a gorgeous even tan, not to dark not to light.
I swear by it.

CantStartaFireWithoutaSpark · 01/05/2022 20:10

Have used St tropez, I still think the Bare by Vogue mousse is better!

What about Isle of Paradise? I find this really easy to use and gives a great colour used every few days not every day as you don't need it

Need the best fake tan for a very pale, also dry, sensitive, and over 40 skin. A spray, not mousse and gradual.
