How should my face feel after cleansing it?

I’ve got a new cleanser with hyuralonoc acid in it and it says my skin will feel clean and hydrated but it doesn’t. Previously I used Simple so I’m wondering should it feel quite tight and dry after cleansing? What is your skin like afterwards? I have quite dry skin.

No it shouldn't feel right. What's the cleanser? cerave? You might need an oil based one

Mine can feel a tiny tiny bit dry but I use retinol so my face is dry/flaky anyway
Usually it just feels sort of neutral. Not oily or tight

Definitely not tight and dry! Mine feels clean, soft and smooth after a cleanse.

What cleanser are you using?

Hyaluronic acid acid works by retaining water and pulling it into your skin. It really needs to be used it something like a serum over a damp face, otherwise it will draw the moisture from your skin making it dryer! I think it’s become a bit of a buzz phrase and is being added to everything even if it doesn’t mean it will work properly.

Your skin should feel neutral after cleansing. If you fell like it would need a hydrating boost then I find products with glycerin in much better (although less trendy).
