The last 18 months have not been kind to me 🙄 As well as cracking on two stone during lockdown and losing all my fitness I've hit the menopause - I feel and look dreadful. I know what I need to do to get back into shape but it's going to take MONTHS. I'd really appreciate any tips on how I can make myself look and feel better whilst I claw myself back into shape!

I'm not sure, but I'm in the same boat, so watching with interest!

Drink loaaaadssss of water
Get hair done
Have decent nails and brows

Well for me… Manicures, haircuts, nice shoes, make up, posh perfume , long walks, time with friends, trips to new places , inspirational books, and treating myself to delicious healthy food (ie good sushi, colourful tasty salads). It doesn’t all have to be expensive (cos reading it back it sounds it Grin) but samples of fragrances, second hand bookstores, finding nice make up ‘dupes’ etc all bring a little joy imo. Also painting walls. It tones your arms and it reminds you that you’re capable of transformation, fast !

Also a good declutter of the home always kickstarts a new body regime!

A lovely perfume, a decent skincare routine, a beauty treatment that makes a difference for you (for me it's brows and nails), some pretty knickers that fit your size right now to remember you are 100% enough as you are.

A stone to lose here but still feel so much better with hair and nails done, lovely clothes, good bag. And getting out to see friends

Love this thread - I'm in the same boat and have to sort myself out. Going to book a haircut ASAP as know that will make a good start.

I’ve recently lost 2 stone and part of that was walking every day - at least until the gyms reopened. I also upped my skincare and hair care regimes… I won’t bore you with the facial products but I bought some Japanese / Korean body cloths for soft skin ( with a Shea butter bar soap) and a body lotion by CeraVe. Got my hair done and also have an Olaplex treatment for the first time. I’ve invested in their Shampoos / Conditioners etc for home use. I use an air styler to give a smooth finish… really enjoying how it looks and feels. I’ve got the manicure / pedicure booked for next week. All of this is much more than I’ve done in the past but I’m enjoying it a lot.
