Talk pants to me

Normal stuff just ain't working for me anymore.
I usually wear hipster, boypants, hotpant style underwear but after having LO whos now 3, everythings just lumpy and spilling out mainly around my hip, tummy and thighs. It's really getting me down. I feel like I'm always tugging and pulling when I'm wearing leggings or tights to ensure everythings in place.

To me shapewear looks pretty uncomfortable but I think my time has come to embrace them.

Which would you recommend? Would really like something that doesnt keep riding up/down aswell.

Reading with interest as I feel vile in a full pant but my shorts are too los. That said, lace trimmed shorts from Asda aren't bad. Will try find a link

dalrympy · 14/06/2021 22:02

I'm just desperate for something that isn't constantly wedged in my butt 😵‍💫 I'm pear shaped with a big bum and I've tried everything

polkadotpjs · 14/06/2021 22:07

Can't add pic but midi lace trimmed by Asda George

Squiz81 · 14/06/2021 22:41

Have you tried Fatface? I love their knickers

LizzieMacQueen · 14/06/2021 23:05

I used to like white stuff and, more lately, stripe & stare but I bought these from m&s (to get me the £20 beauty bag) and I love them. They're soooo comfortable.

[ that is not me in the photo 😆 ]

I like M&S Brazillians. They are a good fit on me, come in a variety of colours (I don’t do white or beige, l like to live life in colour!) and they don’t ride up or down. Look for something that has
S-T-R-E-T-C-H. 100% cotton just isn’t going to hack it.

If you really feel you need shapewear, consider a control slip. M&S do them and l find them more comfy than control knickers.

Finally, tights. Not this weather please! But when it gets cooler consider the Autograph Seam Free. As the name implies, no central seam, so more comfortable. They also have a sensible sized cotton gusset. Now, this may sound odd at first, but because of the gusset you can wear them without knickers at all. Without the double layering they adhere to the body without slippage and stop put. Sister and l learned this trick long ago.

I've recently moved to these M&S full briefs:

The lace isn't scratchy at all and adds nice interest. Wayyy more comfortable that my old midis.

ballroompink · 15/06/2021 07:20

I feel your pain! I'm pear shaped and hate buying knickers as I find this is a problem. M&S Brazilians don't work for me at all - they just go up my bum the minute I start walking. M&S midis are good, I find, and the high leg styles. I also have the ones that Lizzie posted the pic of upthread and they work well for me.

Neolara · 15/06/2021 07:22

I'm also a big fan of fat Face pants.

JackieWeaver · 15/06/2021 07:23

@LizzieMacQueen

That made me laugh Grin

You could have got away with us thinking "ooh she's very toned Shock"

StarlightLady · 15/06/2021 09:01

@LizzieMacQueen - You don’t have to be so modest; we know it’s you 😂 !

LizzieMacQueen · 15/06/2021 09:26

@StarlightLady and @JackieWeaver , oh I wish. ....... they're magic pants but not magical....

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 15/06/2021 12:21

I wear M&S massive full-brief knickers under dresses/skirts if I'm not wearing tights. There is nothing brief about them. I'm a few pounds up after a year of WFH and I feel like they smooth things out a bit. For jeans/trousers I wear the M&S Brazilians and think they are comfy and look quite nice. My underwear is all black - expensive bras (32D) and cheap knicks!

Nameandgamechange123 · 15/06/2021 15:27

M&S Brazillians are my first choice also. Very flattering shape. I get the no vpl version which are quite expensive but worth it

PawsQueen · 15/06/2021 15:29

I have the same as @LizzieMacQueen and they're so comfy and soft

polkadotpjs · 15/06/2021 21:02

What are they called @LizzieMacQueen , the style I mean, though feel free to share any nicknames you also have 😂

Littleguggi · 15/06/2021 21:06

Following, still wearing my post csection high waisted pants from Asda (the multipacks ones) almost 2 years on! Used to love m&s Brazilians but nothing seems to compare to my Asda ones anymore! Desperate for a change! Will check out the fat face ones

LizzieMacQueen · 15/06/2021 22:02

@polkadotpjs

They are called 'Sumptuously Soft'

So far I'm very happy with them.

StarlightLady · 16/06/2021 07:48

But on a lovely warm day... 😉

It’s a summer sport though.

Divineswirls · 16/06/2021 12:49

I love my plain black M&S pants as they always stay in place on my ever changing body shape

polkadotpjs · 16/06/2021 20:33

Thank you @LizzieMacQueen !

MindBodyChocolate · 16/06/2021 20:37

These are really nice. Decent coverage, don’t migrate up your backside, look good. www.marksandspencer.com/silk-and-lace-high-leg-knickers/p/clp60267413?color=BLACK#intid=prodColourId-60267413

DGFB · 16/06/2021 20:40

M&S no vpl

StarlightLady · 16/06/2021 20:48

@MindBodyChocolate - l agree. I have those in red and in black. The red appears to be discontinued now though. I wouldn’t go for the other colours.

Carbis · 16/06/2021 21:15

Another vote for M&S Brazilians. I find I need to wear pants a size or two bigger than I need for jeans.
