Which st tropez product please??

I used to use the old school at tropez and never got on with it. I tried the gradual tinted tan and pleasantly surprised. It doesn’t tint my legs that well but arms look good and natural.

I have been on st tropez website and see there are loads more products now. Any one suggest a good one for me? None of the ‘original’ ones. Which one would be good that won’t go patchy or orange? So basically I’m asking if there are any ‘fool proof’ products in these?

Tia

Currently looking at advanced bronzing mist, self tan express bronzing mousse (this appeals!) purity bronzing mousse, purity vitamins one.....

Any of those would you recommend? I like the idea of the express one Grin

I think Bondi Sands is much better that St Tropez, it’s green based and much lovelier colour. I recommend the self tanning foam in dark (I’m fair skinned but the dark works). It’s express so only need it on for 2 hours. Their gradual tanning oil is also really nice.

The purity stuff is amazing, I've never got on with fake tan but it's great. Lovely natural colour and easy to apply (anything else I go orange and streaky)

Loserinlove · 14/06/2021 17:45

@Nowgimmeagin the bronzing water stuff? Do you use a mitt? What worries me about these ‘mists’ etc is I would get more on the floor than on my body and would want to use a mitt? Does that still work?

I use the mist for my face (I think it's specific one for face and neck) and the purity mousse which I apply with a mitt for my body. I think they do a little trail pack of the face mist, body mousse and a mitt sometimes

Loserinlove · 14/06/2021 18:47

@Nowgimmeagin is the body stuff no good for the face?

I love the facial mist. Gives a really nice glow. A couple of people have told me I’ve caught the sun recently, so I’m hoping that means it looks quite natural!

Nowgimmeagin · 14/06/2021 20:11

I've not tried the watermelon mousse may have to check it out!
I'm sure the mousse is fine for the face but I have really.sensitive spot prone skin so I wanted to use the face one specifically as it's was non pore blocking but if your skins normal I would just use mousse for both.
I also love it because its non transfer (have white sheets) and doesn't have a fake tan smell!

Nowgimmeagin · 14/06/2021 20:12

@miseryisabutterfly that's the same comments I get when I use it, so must look pretty natural!

seensome · 14/06/2021 20:15

I will only use the St Tropez express tanning mousse, leave on for an hour, wash off and it develops into a lovely natural looking tan.

Loserinlove · 14/06/2021 21:14

@seensome what’s it like on the Face? I do sometimes get spots as @Nowgimmeagin has mentioned but the tinted gradual tan has been absolutely fine yet before this I tried the dove gradual tan and that did bring me out in spots!

seensome · 14/06/2021 21:33

I use it on my face too, haven't had any break outs from using it, I think because the mousse is washed off after an hour and the texture isn't greasy.

Loserinlove · 16/06/2021 14:02

Right, any types before I try the advanced 1 hour tan mousse??

@seensome and anyone else that uses the express mousse, how dark did you go? I put it on 345, washed off at 7pm. I’m tinned but lightly... I’m guessing/hoping it will darken over night. I read a few reviews saying they barely tanned.... I’m guessing you could use it two days in a row if you want to go darker or is that a silly idea layering it up?

OP posts:
seensome · 16/06/2021 21:19

I'm fair skinned, blonde so I only leave on for an hour, two at the most. It's lasts me most of the week so I would only apply once a week, depending how dark you want to look, I'm quite happy looking light tanned but if you have darker skin you might get away with more than one application a week.
When you wake up in the morning you definitely see a difference.

Loserinlove · 16/06/2021 21:26

@seensome Nope I’m very pale! I just see so many other people out and about with (what looks like to me) fake tans and they are even, no patches and nice, darker than I think I will end up so I don’t understand what is wrong with my skin! It’s my legs that are the worse.’ May have to result in some leg make up. At tropez said you can use the gradual tan OVER THE TOP of the fake tans.... wonder that that is like?

Ok so it’s nice but not at all dark just golden. So do I go a second time today and not use this one again??
