SPF 50 - retinol user / wearing make up

I use Dermatica so need to wear spf 50 every day. Am coming to end of my current one eucerin pigment control fluid. It’s ok, a little greasy in warmer weather.
If you wear make up and spf 50 can you share your recommendations please?
Skin type, dehydrated, a bit sensitive.
Would be keen to find one I could spray on mid way through day over make up but no idea if that’s a thing!

I use Dermatica too, and use the heliocare from Amazon which is spf 50

LaurieFairyCake · 13/06/2021 17:03

I also use Dermatica (night retinol) and I use Neutrogena factor 110 Grin

I just put it on once a day - I look a bit white for ten minutes - then it's sunk in enough to put make up on

I don't reapply but I do wear sunglasses and a hat if I'm out more than 20 minutes

I no wouldn't stay out in the sun anyway - I'm considering discontinuing Dermatica for the summer as honestly I still think I'd be out too long on a dog walk in the early morning to risk it

La Roche Posay Anthelios - I have just started using this a couple of weeks ago and am getting on really well with it. I think LRP also do a spray that you can use for reapplying over makeup.

Heliocare ultra cream spf 90 .
I have sensitive skin and it doesn’t set me off.
It has a tint to it which provides light to medium coverage and a lovely glow.
There is a gel version of it also which also gets rave reviews but I haven’t tried that and I think that might be suited more to oily skin.

I use LRP bb cream under makeup - or by itself. But it's actually a really good primer

Girlintheframe · 14/06/2021 07:00

I've been using LRP too. I go between the sensitive version and the normal one.
I really like it for under make up. It's non greasy and absorbs well. I'm going to get the spray version so I can top up when I'm wearing make up too.
Im sure there are better ones out there but LRP is good for the price. It's often on offer at boots too.

Ambre Solaire SPF 50 over makeup spray is brilliant. Out of stock in Boots atm unfortunately after Sali Hughes mentioned it. I managed to get one and it’s fab. Not greasy, satin matte finish in the skin.

Ooh will need to look out for that one!

Nadine Baggott included the Garnier spray in her sunscreen video a month or so back. I got the spray and the sensitive 50 cream for faces.
Both are fabulous and cheap as chips from Amazon, Superdrug etc.

Thanks everyone, some good suggestions. I’ll definitely try a couple of the spray ones as a top up to my under make up. I used to use LRP and think it was ok, will see how I get on. Heliocare a good shout too, I’ve meant to order that previously.
@LaurieFairyCake I’m the same, am worried I’m causing more damage, I don’t sun worship but am outside either walking or running and have noticed some additional pigmentation recently, my once a day as application isn’t obviously cutting it.

I use the eucerin 50 oil control. I've tried tonnes of spf in the last 3 years. It's the only one I've re purchased
