Can swimsuit be stretched?

Just that really - lovely swimsuit and can’t return as it’s been worn. Actually quite liked the tightness initially but now it’s cutting into my (bottom!) cheeks! Any way in which I could stretch it, lovely MNetters? TIA.

You could yank at the elastic around the legs, but I don't know if it's a good idea.

Can you soak it and then make some sort of medieval stretching rack? If it was longer in the body it might cut less?

Cut it in half and make a bikini?

Most well fitting cossies feel to tight on first wearings, so probably the best things you can do are use it and wear lots.

Add to that a few 60 degree washes and you just might be OK.

If you’re handy with sewing you could cut the straps, add hoops, then stitch. Like this but perhaps a little bigger or more of an oval shape? I’ve seen suits with tortoise shell versions that look good too.
