Wearing a dress and looking after kids

So a stupid question. How do people wear dresses while looking after small DC? I've never been one for dresses or skirts but I want to start feeling like they're an option. I'm bored of jeans (except my new dungarees which I love!). But I dont want to be flashing my arse. I'm forever crawling round on the floor or bending down to pick stuff up. Is there a way to be dignified? Shorts underneath? I'm tall, and dont really want to wear long.

Wear your best knickers

Or shorts underneath. I feel your pain, it's too hot for trousers

Im mid 20’s and I wear cycling shorts underneath, as well as bending down etc my 3 year old also has a habit of lifting up my dress/skirt so I feel more comfortable wearing them underneath. I also don’t feel like they’re frumpy anymore as they’re quite in fashion (oversized T-shirt’s or crop tops with cycling shorts is an outfit I see worn a lot this summer)

Thanks both. I will have a look at some shorts for underneath. I'm too old to be flashing my knickers, and I dont trust my 3 year old!
