Which rental dress for a wedding guest?

I'm going to a wedding in August - posh hotel and very stylish couple, so want to step up my game (also bored of my lazy lockdown wardrobe) and rent a fancier dress than what I'd be able to afford to buy

What do we think of these? Any good?
I'm 5'2" and size 8/10

Just got a message back with the length of the Vampires Wife one and it's longer in the back at 143cm so sadly too long for my short legs ☹️

I'm hoping I can do the Rixo turquoise one...

Is the Shrimp one just not fancy enough for a wedding?

First with the elbow length sleeves for sure! Shame the VW one is too long.

I really like the Shrimp one.
I think it’s just that it looks quite casual from the front.
I’d wear to a lunch date or a birthday afternoon tea

Shame about the Vampire’s Wife one, It was a clear favourite for me. The sekf pirtrait ones look good, I prefer the off shoulder one though suspect it would drive me crazy irl. Love the idea of renting - will you report back on your experience?

@Restlessinthenorth I've not used them before, but there's a few apps/sites that do it. I'm looking at HURR (site) and By Rotation (an app), both I think I found from recommendations here.

Love the self portrait one with the spaghetti straps. Stunning colour.

As a 5’3” person I can confirm the Self Portrait will be a better length for you (I have the strappy one in a different colour and it’s perfect midi length). With Rixo I think you’d need to stop at midi - my experience is that they’re made for tall people so the long dresses swamp me.

I went to a wedding where someone at my table wore the second self portrait dress, or at the very least a very very similar one and she wore it with a leather jacket and looked incredibly cool. It's a beautiful dress in person so that would be my choice

Maybe depends on the wedding? Very formal high church affair, maybe. Super cool hotel wedding, not at all

I’m also loving the second Self Portrait one, if it’s not too see through. It’s smarter and more chic (Imo) than the Rixo. Gorgeous colour too.

@NotMyDayJob yeah it's definitely not a church wedding - posh hotel affair, so maybe that's okay. I do think I'd need to tone my arms up a bit to feel comfortable in it though...
