Which handbag to splurge on?

Going back to the office soon, after more than 1 year spent in pyjama bottoms and t shirts I'm going to treat myself to a new handbag for work. Fortunately I've been able to save enough for a splurge item as I haven't bought any news clothes, shoes or bags for more than a year!

I'd like a classic large leather tote enough to pile in all sorts plus a laptop. Very tempted to go mad and buy the LV Neverfull or Mulberry Bayswater.

What do you all recommend?

I have both but no longer use the Bayswater, it weighs a ton!
Neverfull medium can hold a ton of stuff.

Ah I meant the Bayswater Tote, not the original - which does look like it weighs a ton and I don't really like the fussy "top"

The Mulberry is beautiful. I wouldn’t pay ££££ for a plastic coated canvas bag personally.

100% the never full. It ages beautifully, it’s a total classic and it’s literally like Mary poppins bag

The neverfull is a much better investment, they retain their value.

I have just bought the Neverfull and the only thing I don’t love about it is that it doesn’t zip closed. So on the tube you have to keep more of an eye on it.
What puts me off the Mulberry is that the bag itself is quite heavy so once you’ve added all your bits and bobs it’s a lot of weight to carry around
