Floaty work dresses/playsuits that don't look boxy and reach the knees?

I am looking for some nice fitted but floaty and light dresses to wear to work. It's boiling hot at the moment and everything I have is quite heavy and clingy.

Looking around it seems everything is really boxy at the moment? Is it just me? It doesn't work on me as someone who is 5ft. Also, mini dresses are still (somehow) too short despite reaching the knees of the 5'8" models and midi-dresses, as with boxy dresses, make me look really dumpy!

Any recommendations? Cheaper the better as they are for work and wont be worn otherwise.

Look for a more tea dress style. No idea where stocks them now, maybe shops like Dorothy Perkins or Jigsaw might have them

The current styles tend to swamp smaller frames, and shortish dresses tend to creep up when I sit down.

Sorry, none of those was floaty or a jumpsuit. I like the shirtdress. New Look is often quite good for dresses.

I wore this to work the other day. It's quite flattering round the stomach and a nice midi length on me (I'm 5'2). 50% cotton too and a good price.

I'm also really struggling to find anything nice at the moment! Absolutely hate the frills, smocks and prairie styles that are everywhere.

It’s not arrived yet, so I can’t say what it’s like but I have ordered this. It’s a cotton/linen mix so I’m expecting it to be cool
