Fake tan faux pas?

To just tan my legs?!

I'm new to fake tan, I've done my entire body once so far, a couple of weeks ago.

I want to use it this weekend but I don't really want to do my face and if I do my upper body, I really need to do my face. Will I look really strange if I just do my legs?!

I think you can get away with doing your arms (lightly!) and not your face, depending on what you’re wearing. I see lots of people with naturally tanned limbs but a paler face because they’ve been wearing a hat/SPF, so as long as you don’t go too overboard I think it’s fine. Pale arms and tanned legs might look a bit odd though!

Our bodies never naturally tan evenly anyway, so I thank that it’s fine, as long as the tan is quite subtle. I fake tan my legs but I never fake tan my arms as they tan more naturally as they get more sun exposure than my legs. I always wear spf50 on my face and a hat in the sun, so my face doesn’t really tan, but I wear makeup/bronzer.

Thanks both. I think I'll do legs, then a tiny smidge on shoulders and collarbone where I'd naturally catch the sun a bit and then swipe whatever is left on the mit down my arms. I'll add a bit of bronzer when I do my make up. 👍🏼
