I’ve painted my nails in a pattern I got some Opi gel top coat. I thought it was just like gel shine, It won’t dry, I’ve just googled and it needs a heat lamp. I haven’t got one. It’s been on an hour and DP just had to take me to the loo!

Can I dry it without a lamp, anyone know how?

Wipe off with acetone. Could try putting clear nail varnish over until you can get some

Unfort google says no:

Can gel polish dry on its own?
The short answer is no. Oxygen gets in the way of curing gel nails. Air prevents the gel molecules from forming together to harden, which explains why your gel polish will never dry in the air. I don't fully understand the science, but gel nail polish will never air dry no matter how long you leave it.

But they do say something about certain Led lamps doing the same job as a UV lamp if you have any Led lights you could try this?

Thank you, it’s going to have to come off and it took me ages to do the pattern and I have so many other top coats I could have used Sad I’ve got some strong nail varnish remover I can try, I use that with the Sally Hansen gel shine, I thought this was the same, fool that I am.

I’m loathe to put a normal coat on top in case it makes it worse.
