I'm looking for recommendations for your best under eye concealers.
I'm quite fair but have always had "translucent" skin, prominent veins etc. So my under eyes are quite dark, I definitely get enough sleep and although I'm not the most healthy person I don't think it's is related to dehydration at all, I think I'm just predisposed to dark circles (not puffy/bags).
My problem is that despite using primer/concealer/setting powder this wears off and it looks as though I have makeup smudged under my eyes, but it's the dark colour showing through.
Now that I'm getting a bit older/drier round my eyes the more stuff I use the more wrinkly I look!
So I'm really looking for something to stop it slipping off in the first place and also something I could use to top up throughout the day without looking dry/cakey?

I've had the same issue but seemed to have it sorted now..
I've tried a lot of concealers. My current favourite is Lancome effacernes concealer.
I also use primer underneath - smashbox hydrating under eye primer.
Finally I lightly apply powder underneath. Just the smallest amount.
These 3 steps work great.
I've previously had under eye filler but this hasn't helped at all with dark circles/veins.
I got these tips from hotandflashy on you tube, her undereye circles don't seem that dark, but she tests all the concealers to see what ones cause crepiness

I’ve tried various over the years - best ones I’ve found are Estée Lauder double wear stay-in-place and Nars radiant creamy concealer.

Maybelline eraser I think its called. Looks like a bingo dabber. I have the same issue and have tried many.
Have used a clinique one that was quite good also

The best one I’ve ever used is Tarte creaseless concealer. It’s magical, non-drying and has really good coverage with minimal application.

I have sworn by YSL Touche Éclat for years and I still do. It’s expensive, but it’s also the best and you only need a tiny bit, so it lasts for ages.

I use a bit of Becca under eye brightening corrector, then a mix of Clinique airbrush concealer and Trinny BFF serum eye concealer.

I use pixi under eye patches in the morning and they are incredible- my dark shadows are almost gone.

Janaih · 10/06/2021 07:48

@Nishky which patches do you use? I can see 3 on the m&s website. All sound good!

Nishky · 10/06/2021 09:05

@Janaih sorry got distracted- I use Beautifeye

Cannot stress enough how good they are- I actually stood open mouthed after the first use.

After 40 years of battling with dark shadows under my eyes!

Janaih · 10/06/2021 14:01

Thanks will give them a try!

Wizzbangfizz · 10/06/2021 14:50

@Nishky do you use them
Prior to make up application.

Nishky · 10/06/2021 16:11

@Wizzbangfizz yes- in place of eye cream/gel- leave them on for 15 minutes then pat the residue in as you would a cream.

putting them on takes a bit of getting used to as they are a bit slimy and floppy! Definitely worth it though!

Bobbi Brown under eye corrector for dark circles - really good

SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 10/06/2021 19:03

I have a similar issue but with really deep lines to add to the joy.

I agree that the EL double wear concealer is good, although my favourite in Benefit Boing Industrial strength concealer, (yes it’s actually called that).

In the last 3 months I have religiously been using eye cream at night, originally a mini EL one and now one by Glow. I am very surprised to note that the darkness has lessened; no difference to the lines but the colour is definitely better.
