Hair extensions. No colour match!

I've been considering getting some nano hair extensions. I'm not generally onto the fake look but wanted to add a bit more thickeness to my hair and an inch or so length.
I went today for a colour match and she said none of the samples match my hair colour. Apparently the company she uses are one of the best and have the most amount of colour choices.
My hair is kind of a dark brown but with a reddish undertone. I actually hate it and occasionally due it dark brown but the dye starts to come out in a week or 2.
She suggested I due my hair and then go back for a colour match, however if my dye then leaves my natural hair, the colour won't match my extensions. She says you can take them out and dye them but it's £90 to get them fitted!

Not sure what to do, anyone else have this issue? I'm seriously considering whether it's worth the hassle.

Also, for those with extensions; are they overly visible? So they feel heavy?
Thank you.

Mine didn't match one shade completely but the technician used a mixture of 3 different shades. It blended amazingly.
I would nube nervous of dying my hair beforehand as it will definitely fade at a different rate to the extensions.
I'd be going with a different person, if it were me

Forgot to add, mine don't feel heavy but they do limit me on what hairstyles I can wear Such as high ponytails etc

I used to have nanoloops but I got massive hair breakage so now I have easilocks which are smaller than micro loops but much more delicate on my hair

@Senorasurf thank you. The lady I went to owns the salon and trains people in extensions, she also seems well reviewed. Not sure where else to look, there are a few mobile hairdressers.that do them but I'm worried they won't be as good.

I've had this as my hair was very red brown at one point. I dyed it more ash to match the extensions.
