Help me with this situation

I want to use another hairdresser who has done my hair beautifully in the past. However a long-term friend who I now see every day outside the school has cut my hair a couple of times recently and it's going to be awkward if I turn up with a new style.
Give me some ideas of how I can handle this ? Confused

Tell her someone gave you a voucher for the other hairdresser.

Exactly what @JaneJeffer has suggested.

I was going to the same hairdresser for years but becoming quite fed up that she wasn't listening to what I wanted. I swapped to someone a friend recommended who had recently opened her own place. I brazened out taking the kids to original salon by saying my friend had started out on her own and I wanted to support her.

Thanks to all, some great ideas. Now as you say to brazen it out Wink
