Help with shoes for this dress please

My DS graduates next month and I've bought this linen dress, it's on the more casual side but I like it. I am however a bit stumped at what shoes will go. We're staying about a mile away from the venue so if the weather is ok we'll walk, so I need to be comfortable. I can't wear heels.

I like the idea of cream brogues but ideally I want something comfortable, flat (or almost) but smart! Any ideas gratefully received!

Thanks Smile

Hi @Iamanunsafebuilding
I'd go for a brogue of some sort.
What I came in to say was that of course you'll be wearing a slip of some kind under your dress? If not then maybe rethink the black knickers Wink

That’s a gorgeous dress and congratulations to your DS.

I agree with the brogues idea if comfortable- if it is hot maybe sandals that are comfy for walking.

@Sporranrummager when I first went wedding dress shopping I stood side on and said ‘I’ll need knickers without seams’ and the assistant said ‘and without a star’

I was wearing white knickers with a big glittery star on the front! ( no I don’t know why I owned those at 34)
