Cargo pants on size 12 5 foot 1'er??

Hi. Im looking to purchase some cargo pants. Im 5'1 and currently a curvy size 12 - big butt and thighs.

Will cargo pants suit me or will it make me look bigger? Honest opinions please

I'm a similar size and shape to you (I think?!) and they definitely make me look bigger and shorter. But I wear them anyway cos they're comy and have lots of pockets so I don't give a toss.

No, they add to the hip width in a very unflattering way.

Palazzo trousers are generally the most flattering if you are larger.There are a lot of jumpsuits with flowy palazzo style cropped legs in the shops that could be very flattering. However, I've seen plenty of larger people look just fine in cargo pants. You just need to watch the style and what you wear them with. Don't cover up the waist. Try on lots of pairs.

I recently bought some cargo like trousers from M&S. They look really nice - mine are in Camo, but they have other colours. Yes they have an elastic waist but do still look nice. Different leg lengths including short - I think they are supposed to be ankle length but I got the regular and the leg length is like full normal length on me - I am 5ft 2. The sizing is generous and they are nicely baggy on your curves!

I am short - almost same height and size - would avoid ,especially the ones with side pockets!

I used to wear them all the time, but they do make short people look wider (I was an 8, so not particularly broad, but probably looked like a 12 in them).
There are slimmer cut cargos around which may look more flattering but they will have fewer pockets, including some that have no cargo pockets (so don't ask me why they're sold as cargos!)

Palazzo pants are not usually good on people 5' tall.
