Hi, like a lot of people I’ve eaten and drank my way through this year. I’m now several stone overweight and nothing fits me. Now it’s hot I’m panicking about what to wear at work or casually.
Can anyone give me any recommendations of flattering dresses or summer clothes that hide general flab. I don’t suit boxy styles and want to keep dresses long. Preferably not too expensive

TIA

I love loose, cool drawstring trousers and Fat Face have done great ones in the past. I feel ya OP!

I like skater dresses, for skimming over the stomach area.

I have been looking at East today, their dresses are mostly loose natural fabrics and some are v. pretty: www.east.co.uk/collections/dresses-and-jumpsuits

If you are looking for cheaper dresses, Monki is a good place to look:

You're going to want a dress with a string that you can tie at the back so you can choose exactly how much it hugs but also defines your waist. I find it most flattering if I go up a size and the string allows you to make it tighter anyway.

I have three lovely cotton dresses from East, all bought on eBay! Provided you're not bothered about them being this years' line (and they don't change much anyway) it's well worth a look - I think the most I paid for one was £28 and that still had the tags on Smile

I would suggest you look at Next . They have masses of lovely dresses and reasonably priced.
