Where to shop on the high street???!

Now my go to of Dorothy Perkins and Debenhams stores are no longer open I don't know where to go? I've been invited out next week so wanted a nice dress but everything is online and I don't think it will be delivered in time. I'm a bit too old for New Look/River Island etc (grand age of 35 not to mention slight too heavy for their clothing) and I don't like Next as I find them boring. What high street clothes shops are actually left??

That’s me just mentally ticking off what was open when I went shopping in Nottingham and Derby recently. Was fine!

I'm 33 so I know what you mean! I currently like '& Other Stories' Ghost and Sezane

Mango, & Other stories, Cos, Monki, Arket are a few that spring to mind.
You could try going into John Lewis as they do loads of different labels.

I'm older than you (40s) but struggling with limited choice on high street these days. I quite like some Hush and Mint Velvet but overpriced out of sale and I find the endless slogan stuff a bit naff.

As mentioned above, I think John Lewis has some good brands and can be good for browsing. Again, quite pricey out of the sales. I also like browsing in TK maxx too and buy quite a bit from there.

I think the High street looks really sad these days - even my very popular local mall has lots of closed units. Really hoping there's a bit of a revival post pandemic!
