Hats for large of head

MistySkiesAfterRain · 05/06/2021 19:08

I know this has been done before but looking for suggestions of where to find a large hat. I measured my head and its 61-62cm. Would love a fedora or at this point just an adjustable visor would do, any tried and tested suggestions?

TIA

I know M and S do medium to large size in hats.

I find men's panamas often very flattering, and presumably larger than women's.

Only mens hats come in a proper range of sizes - Village Hats have a great range of fedoras and you can filter by available size

Thanks will check these out.

I got a fedora in the men's section of H&M last year. My head is about 62cm and it fits well, even if it won't win many style awards.

Tilley Hats do a decent range in large sizes - women's as well as men's.

I found some of the "large" sizes from Village Hats were still too tight on me.

Another vote for M&S men's section, they usually have some lovely unisex hats

I share the pain (and the large head). I bought from Village Hats last year but still too small even in the largest sizes.

I think I've found something now. Not stylish at all but bucket hats from Next men's section size L/XL seem to fit me well. I probably look like Shaun Ryder but I don't care.

I share your pain. It's so hard to find big hats!

I got mine from the men’s section at H&M too. Massive head and loads of hair!

I have this problem too - I think I take size 60cm. I wear a lot of men's or unisex hats, trilbies, straw panamas etc, but occasionally I do really wish I could find a cute feminine hat that fits me! I do own a cloche from M&S that is a women's M/L and fits quite well, but it varies - sometimes their M/L is still a bit too small for me.

Are you an oldest child by any chance? A midwife once told me that oldest children always have big heads - I'm one, and my DS1 has a big head too!
