Help me find a summer dress for garden party next week!

Help! I knew this isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things but we're having friends round to ours for the first time in over a year next weekend. It's to be a scorcher I think and I'd love a new summer/floral dress or jumpsuit but I'm struggling. I'm size 8 so most styles are fine but I hate my flat boobs and bony chest so I never wear anything v necked or open at the chest. I always wear high necked or button up tops.
I love Verity Hardcastle's style so would love something like the dress she is wearing in this not too good photo. Unfortunately this dress is old Warehouse and I can't buy it anywhere.
I think I'm getting anxious at the thought of socialising again and hanging too much emphasis on a new dress or jumpsuit, but I just want the night to be perfect after all this time! Budget up to £200. Thanks

@Ladyface there's something really nice about that Hush dress. I love the colour and print but not sure if I like the fact it's a smock dress. I think I want something a bit more wow. Do you like the Whistles one? I might order it to try on.

If you like the Whistles dress then that's the one you should go for. I think it's really hard for anyone else to suggest what would suit you without being able to see your season colouring or body shape. The green dress you linked is lovely. With the right shoes you could dress up or down.

If your budget is £200, have you looked at Rixo? The dresses are amazing and so flattering (I’m a similar shape to you and don’t like v neck/ ~non~ boobs on display) They are more than £200 but have a look on the website and they have a sale (‘archive’) section which come just under budget. Dresses are seriously gorgeous!

Or maybe try the new Ghost collaboration at M & S?

Well that was good fun-online shopping with someone else’s budget and for clothes that wouldn’t fit over my left leg but that I’d love to wear if I had the figure! 😂

@EllaPaella v true. I love most of these dresses posted but loads of the colours would wash me out. I'm a cool (not trendy but cool colouring) blonde and suit silvers, pastels, pale blues and lilacs. I maybe should have said that in my post. Didn't want to be too demanding 😂

@jennyfromtheblock22 I'm very pale skinned , strawberry blonde hair & have green eyes & the colour is brighter than I'd usually go for but that's exactly why I fell for it.
I think it really suits me & my dh & dc have also liked it. They're the only ones who've seen it so far as it only arrived last week!
It's a beautiful dress & v flattering on, I think so anyway!
I'm v glad I bought it. It's not for any particular occasion but I think it'll be great for a nice dinner / party / drinks / travel etc
I'm figuring out what shoes / sandals to put with it now & I started a thread on that.
A poster suggested Sezane clog sandals which look great but now I've spotted some other sezane sandals I love the look of so I'm having a think about that

@UnreasonablyPissedOff sounds lovely. I've ordered a size 8 and 10 from Selfridges as Whistles only have size 6 left. I don't know what shoes to wear with it either so I'll check out your thread for ideas.

The green Whistles dress didn't fit right. The 8 was a bit too tight on the waist and the 10 was too baggy around the bust so I had to return them. I went to an actual shop today and bought this dress which I'll wear with black sandals and a black belt. I miss shopping in real life. I wouldn't have bought this if I only saw it online-so much nicer off the hanger. Thanks everyone!
