What shoes with this outfit?

• Brown slip skirt
• Ruched sleeve, cream top / black t-shirt
• Heritage type, grey hounds tooth wool / viscose jacket
• Metallic goldy / silvery leather clutch bag

I'm leaning towards courts, but is that a bit dated? I don't like strappy sandals as don't like showing too much hoof! I have flat sandals (black, leather birkies) or flat pumps in navy or burgundy, flatform, off white sandals, contrast brogues (white upper, black flatform sole).

I'd usually say metallic, but since the bag is metallic, I don't want matchy.

Do you think the contrast brogues I mentioned in op @CrazyNeighbour? I think they might work actually.

It's for a party in NI towards the end of summer (hence jacket)!

Also considering a green fedora, but wonder if that might push it into fancy dress territory

It is the sort of outfit that killer heel ankle boots would suit.

Thanks, some of it (jacket and skirt) hasn't arrived yet as they have just been ordered. Happy to come back and post a pic when it gets here. I do think heels might help as otherwise the wellies suggestion with the houdstooth jacket might be all too apt!

Some lovely boots there! I hadn't thought of red actually.

I quite like the thought of chunky heeled boots with it, or maybe some sleeker calf length, burgundy ones.

I do have some black, knee high boots with a manageable stiletto heel, which could also work maybe.
