Have been trying Head and Shoulders and some other dandruff shampoos.

I am having my hair cut finally in a couple of weeks and I need it gone!

Ketoconazole shampoo three times a week till under control then twice a week thereafter. Only thing that worked for me.

Neutrogena T-gel coal tar shampoo, really works for me

T-gel 'oily scalp' shampoo, it has worked miracles and smells quite nice too.

Philip Kingsley anti-dandruff shampoo and treatments are excellent. Nizoral is also very effective - I think it used to be on prescription, but you can buy it anywhere now. Those all work when dandruff is bad, and E45 shampoo is gentle on the scalp for regular use.

I tried all mentioned above but they only worked for me temporarily. What really sorted for me more than a year now was Alpecin shampoo 3x per week initially and swapping my usual shampoo for co-wash ones. Now a year on, I only use the Alpecin 1x per week - just because I'm scared it'll come back if I don't - and use the co-wash on other days. I wash my hair every day because I exercise.
