Triumph bras- weird measurements

I was looking at their website and entering my measurements (just the band measurement and my usual cup size) to get their size. I normally wear a 32D , sometimes a 30D depending on the brand. (My underbust measurement is 76 cms which is 30 inches.)

So.... putting 76 cms into Triumph it says my correct size is 34E!!!

Is their sizing weird and do they do the 'add on 2 inches ' or more?

A lot of places add 4 or 5 inches to the back size (depends if its an odd or even number you measure). It gives a bra too big in the back and too small in the cup.

Don't add to the under bust size. Each inch difference between over an under measurements gives cup size; A, B, C, D, DD, E, F, FF, G, GG, H, HH, etc

Although if you got 34E from their measurements then it suggests a D cup is far too small for you

Their website is weird. It only asks for your under bust measurement (band size) and current cup size, then a few questions about is it comfortable, etc etc. It doesn't ask for you to measure your widest part of the bust.

It made me wonder if their bras are especially small fitting. (I'm not ordering yet, just looking and was interested in why it comes up as a very different size.)

What do you measure over bust out of interest?

About 35. Sometimes I go to a 30DD but it all depends on the style and brand. If I do an online order I often order 3 sizes. I know how to 'fit' a bra, but I'm just puzzled over how their sizing is so weird.
