Zoom interview - what to wear?

I have a job interview next week, via Zoom. Obviously there are a host of things to worry about - where to sit in the house, the presentation I have to give, what they might ask me - but the one I'm choosing to panic about first is what to wear. For context, it's a management job in libraries, so not a corporate suit environment. For my last interview I wore a smart dress, but that was in winter. My smarter summer dresses are all sleeveless, is that ok for an interview? Should I be looking at wearing a smart top with sleeves instead, or maybe adding a cardigan? It's forecast to be mid-20s temperature next week, so I don't want to inadvertently overheat!

A smart top with sleeves would work, maybe with PJ bottoms so you stay comfortable Grin you could have a blazer to hand in case you get cold.

I would wear a smart top with capped or short sleeves & I would 100% wear proper bottoms purely because it would give me more confidence than sitting in jogging bottoms or pjs
I'd probably aim to wear roughly what I would wear to a face to face interview in 20 degree heat
Have a neutral background, make sure your hair & make up are good.
Good luck- I really hope you get it!!

Thanks! I've just remembered that I bought a dress from Jigsaw earlier this year: www.jigsaw-online.com/product/-/J41968_BK000; (total bargain that I've had no real reason to wear since it arrived!)

That might work, I'll have to check how low the V is on my short upper body! It has the added advantage of being pretty comfy. The interview is before my long-awaited haircut so I'll just have to hope my mad curls are behaving that day.

Wear what you would have worn to an in-person interview.

The dress is really nice and smart enough for an interview without being really corporate. Good choice. My only thing is I always prefer something bright for an interview (don’t know if it makes a blind bit of difference but makes feel more confident and maybe memorable?!) but totally personal choice.
I’d do a test run so you can see how you’re framed and that your camera angle/ light is right. Best of luck!
