Denim jackets - not with jeans? Ok with jeans?

I'vust bought my first denim jacket since the '90s (bit late to jump on the band wagon). I bought it mainly to wear with dresses, but can I wear it with jeans? Not really? Too 90s? Double denim ... different colours of denim? I've tried and returned linen trousers, I'm basically in jeans if not in dresses, and like my entire team I wear jeans to work mainly for practical reasons.

Denim jackets with jeans - no or yes, and if yes is it only with jeans in a different blue?

I wear mine with jeggings (either black or dark blue)

I'll try with jeans and pretend I'm having Francis Rossi vibe when IRL it's more Shakin' Stevens

I wear double denim cos 2021.

DH did once tease me for it, and teen DS stepped in and said actually it was in fashion and completely acceptable.

yourestandingonmyneck mine is a slouchy one, not stretchy and tight although it is soft. I noticed that Only have dozens of denim jackets though, including long ones with belts and more tailored shapes, as well as boxy ones. Could be something on there and all their models are wearing double denim but mostly in different shades
