Make up counters

Desperately need new makeup but fancy a change from my usual foundation, concealer and lipstick. Does anyone know if any makeup counters are open at any department stores that will allow you to try on makeup, or even advise on colours etc? Would usually go to my local debenhams but it has closed down :(

Most of the counters were up and running in my local JL. I booked one of the free slots in advance (with Estée Lauder for reference) and the lady said just as well as that meant they could ask about covid symptoms in advance and then could do all the testing on you as usual.

Otherwise I think they could pass you testers on cotton buds to try yourself.

Ahh I didn't think to book an appointment but have looked online and all slots are gone for tomorrow which is when I was looking to go shopping! Thank you for the tip though, I'll try and do that next time
