If you google Jika-Tabi, the Japanese have split toe shoes commonly used if you work in a trade that calls for tough material etc.

I appear to have gone down a mumnet rabbit warren, I blame the heat.

I'm not quite sure what I was expecting to find when I clicked on this thread - some sort of Breton stripe kimono, maybe? - but it wasn't those socks.

That model has unfeasibly large toes.

Oh yes, the idea of anything between my toes makes me feel sick.

I was expecting to see a stylish raincoat Japanese style and some other fashion.

There's nothing appealing about those.

Looking forward to these popping up as targeted ads for the next month on my phone! 🤣 was expecting some sort of Thai fisherman trousers.. the sort of thing you buy on your gap year and try to make happen when you come back home!

I too was hoping for really stylish fisherman trousers in some rare indigo denim. Maybe a pop-up shop of sample stock - £900 reduced to £90 perhaps.

I thought this was going to be the latest style, like Swedish Architect. No way am I going near those abominations...
