This is a bad idea for her hair isn't it??

Speaking as a natural redhead, I was previously warned against this! Give the hair a break and a chance to recover.

Got back to natural red. Red hair is fabulous!

She won't hear of it, sadly.

At least get the hairdresser to use olaplex

The upkeep on the red to black is horrendous and she's redying every month at the moment. She had beautiful hair and I don't want her to wreck it permanently with repeated dying in her teens.

Would she be amenable to a complete shave and start again?

I'm quite serious, by the way.

I've never actually tried it, but suspect that blonde-bleaching already- dyed hair is likely to have much the same result, only rather more expensively.

I did this. Going black wasn't too bad. The blonde was awful. More daffodil yellow, went like straw and broke off in chunks. I ended up having it cut really short.

No way she'd shave it 😱 She's got the park skin of a typical red-head and I can't see her suiting blonde at all. She won't listen to me though.
