Returning uncomfortable shoes

Just wore my new pair of fit flops on a short walk. They are leather slides and have rubbed so badly my foot is bleeding. They also dyed my feet grey from the black leather. Not impressed.

Has anyone had success in returning shoes for being uncomfortable? I'm sick of wasting money on unwearable shoes!

I agree wholeheartedly. I have some minor foot problems and even when I wear shoes around the house for a bit, it doesn't tell me whether they are going to hurt in a day's wear.

Personally I think that as the colour has come off, take some photos and return them as faulty.

I bought some lovely brogues in my usual size from a brand I have always bought from. Seemed comfortable trying on at home and even initially on a walk. However towards the second half of the hour's walk my little toe felt squashed and sore. They do seem narrower than my other shoes from that make. Why???? I have measured and remeasured my foot. They are pretty narrow, as I thought. I have had to size down before because shoes have been to sloppy. So I've been busy stuffing the offending shoe with various household objects in the hope I can stretch it...

I returned shoes to Next for being uncomfortable, was given a refund with no bother.

Thanks for the helpful replies! I might give it a try. I am more annoyed as I saw some much nicer looking shoes and thought, no go with the comfier ones...!
