Has anyone used this? What do you use it for?

Is it any good?

Haven't used it, it gets good reviews on line. C & P uses: ' face moisturizer, an eye cream, a scar treatment, a hair mask, a baby cream, a shaving balm and anything else you can think of. It also works wonders on eczema, skin irritations and redness, burn and wound relief'.

SoLongFurlough · 31/05/2021 15:50

I have used it I think it’s quite good. More like a balm than Vaseline it’s good for chapped dry & overly sanatised hands and a little goes a long way.
I could see how it would be good for other skin irritations & redness

ZaraW · 31/05/2021 15:53

Too expensive and nothing special.

Beefcurtains79 · 31/05/2021 16:01

I love it, it’s great if you suffer from dry skin, I use it as an overnight face mask and it’s good on psoriasis on my body too.

TheCreationOfDistance · 31/05/2021 16:04

I like it but it does smell of olives! Nice o body moisturiser after a shower. I don’t know if it did reduce scars though...

TheCreationOfDistance · 31/05/2021 16:04

Ditto good for psoriasis, and I react to a lot of creams - rashes and soreness. This didn’t do that to me.

ElderMillennial · 31/05/2021 16:19

I'm curious about it. I do have dry skin so I suppose I could use it on my face and body and I have curly hair so maybe it would work for my hair too 🤔

Or maybe just another thing I don't need to buy!

It's on offer on brandalley

£17.50 for 75ml

I think you either love it or hate it.

Hello! I have wavy hair and put a bit on my curls, like balm. It’s ok - but greasy for that, for my liking. I preferred to slather it on my body at bedtime for overnight softness! It felt a bit like Vaseline to me.

It’s ok - was a gift but I’m not sure if but it myself. Palmer’s cocoa butter cream smells far nicer and is a nicer texture, I think.

TheCreationOfDistance · 31/05/2021 16:23

*if I would buy it myself

WellTidy · 31/05/2021 21:12

I had it in an advent calendar and tried it a few times. It is really greasy and didn’t seem to do anything at all for me, which I was surprised about as I have super dry skin and hair. But I really struggled to use it at all so I threw it away with about two thirds in the tub. And I never throw anything - I always use it in some way.

Didn't love it. I now use pawpaw & honey balm which is similarly thick and moisturising but smells lovely and is much cheaper!

ElderMillennial · 31/05/2021 21:44

You have convinced me I don't need it!

Thank you

It’s basically paraffin-free vaseline. I’m a bit Hmm about using products with paraffin in (it’s basically petrol, innit?) so this is a great alternative for me.

Lasts bloody ages, had a tub since about 2015 Grin

HelloDulling · 01/06/2021 06:53

I got some in TK Maxx, use it overnight when my skin is very dry. It soaks in beautifully, doesn’t leave me oily.
