Summer dresses?

Please help me find a couple summer dresses? mainly for wearing out and about or in the garden (nothing fancy), ideally in petite size as I’m short, size 12. Nothing too flowery and nothing too expensive.

Thank you, I love the wrap around bright flowery dress but it would probably be too long on me as most things are.

I ordered 2 dresses this morning. I’m not very feminine and rarely wear dresses but I have just had surgery and all my clothes seem to rub or not fit as my tummy is a bit bloated so I’m living in dungarees and loose fitting dresses.

I wear mainly hippy style clothing or simple fabrics so I find it hard to find things, I used to love fat face but now they seem a little frumpy and over priced.

The problem with waisted dresses is that the waist may be too low if you are a petite size (i'm 5ft 1 and know that pain). I bought a weird fish cotton dress last week - similar vibe to fat face and because it doesn't have a waist it fits fine.

Harkel’s stuff is too high waisted for me (5ft 6) but would probably be grand on someone a bit shorter. Most of the dresses are cotton and there’s loads of summery stuff.

I have a pretty high waste but not keen on ones that empathise it as my bum is large, so makes my bum look even bigger. I like the weird fish dresses but I looked at one in the shop and they are pretty long on me ,would love something that sits at knee length but to get that I usually have to buy a mini dress length 🤣.

Yes the weird fish one sits below my knee (I have terrible knees so that's good for me ). Wouldn't take much to turn it up a bit though?

I bought two dresses from Weirdfish last year or the year before. The quality is not worth the price IMHO.

You could get them altered to be shortened @Lovemusic33. I find a lot of clothes are really generic in their sizes and lengths (trousers a pet peeve of mine as if you're 7 and a half foot tall or something) so I often have to bring clothes to an alterations place.

If you liked a dress, couldn't you get it altered?
