What do you have? I've been thinking about this for almost 2 years but then lockdown hit and not bought any. I was looking at Tiffany and Michael Korrs but I know they are heavily copied and look like the cheap ones you find being sold at the beach abroad. I've been looking at Chanel.

Also how do I find what shape suits me? I went to a shop today but it's hard to view them as you are wearing a mask and each pair is cleaned afterwards so felt reluctant to try lots on!!

Opticians direct have them for sale at £99 but sunglasses hut sell them for £150. How do I know if this is genuine?

TK Maxx have loads is sunglasses in store & online. Real amazing bargains. You’d be able to pull mask down to try instore, I do!

Journeynotdestination · 01/06/2021 07:04

They have Raybans at the moment too online.

HomeSliceKnowsBest · 01/06/2021 07:23

Get yourself down TK Maxx OP (or order online then return) and have a trying on sesh.

I splurged on some classic Chanel frames a couple of years ago and have no regrets. I'm eyeing up a new pair now which have pearls set into the sides.

noblegreenk · 01/06/2021 07:47

I've got 2 pairs. A pair of Gucci that I've had for 3 years, lenses are pretty good but I don't rate the quality of the frames. I've also got a pair of rayban wayfarer sunglasses with polarised prescription lenses which are fab. I use these a lot for driving and the polarised lenses really help with glare.

carrottopper · 01/06/2021 09:31

Thank you. I have looked online for Tkmaxx but they don't have the Ray-Ban pair I want. How do I know if the Opticians direct is genuine? They are £60 cheaper than sunglasses hut

Optitions direct are fine, not fake

randomkey123 · 01/06/2021 20:52

I've only ever bought Raybans, I've got 4 pairs now......... wayfarers in black and tortoiseshell, a pair of lighter weight wire rimmed ones in the car for driving and a prescription pair for reading in the garden!

The lenses are just such good quality, and there are too many fakes around of the Dior/Chanel type ones.

Skyliner001 · 06/06/2021 18:30

My ray ban aviators are here and I love them 🥰 Worth every penny

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/06/2021 09:27

I’ve just adjusted the arms on mine using a YouTube video and a hair dryer.

I practised on an old pair of Chanel sunglasses first. Just in case.

WhereAreWeNow · 07/06/2021 15:45

I've ordered a pair of Ray Bans from T K Maxx. The website doesn't tell me what model they are but they look like tortoiseshell wayfarers. Or maybe Wayfarer II. I hope they're worth it!

Housewife2010 · 07/06/2021 15:50

I like Cutler & Gross sunglasses. I bought my pair 25 years ago for £80. They now retail for over £300. They are gorgeous, flattering and I look after them.

onthecathunt · 07/06/2021 18:52

Check out the music room sample sale based off regent street I saw they have a Linda Farrow sale coming up (if you're anywhere near London that it!)

Ewe202 · 07/06/2021 23:24

I’ve just bought some new raybans from opticians direct at a reasonable price

carrottopper · 09/06/2021 01:37

@Ewe202 what style did you get?

OP posts:
carrottopper · 13/09/2021 23:25

I ended up getting Chanel

OP posts:
mewkins · 14/09/2021 10:06

Raybans definitely. I have some Chanel sunglasses and they are heavier and nowhere near as comfortable to wear.
