I have never purchased from jigsaw so don't know about sizing etc.
It's about the only summer dress I can tolerate this year, would you go for it?

Have a look on Zalando, you’ll be spoilt for choice in dresses there.

Hummingbirdblue · 29/05/2021 07:26

I have to admit I am not a fan of all these frumpy flowery dresses at the moment. That honestly looks like something my granny would have worn.

Even the model looks rubbish in it. Save your money.

BikeRunSki · 29/05/2021 07:42

@ceeveebee

100% polyester lining would put me off completely
I agree!
BananasAreEvil · 29/05/2021 07:52

Could go either way depending on your shape, size and skin colour. In any case, it is ridiculously overpriced at £165 for viscose, and I say that as a Jigsaw fan.

MrsMaizel · 04/06/2021 12:08

I looked at this dress as I was passing the other day . It is beautiful .

Shadow1986 · 04/06/2021 12:11

That’s very expensive for a pretty average looking floral dress. Why is it the only dress you can tolerate this summer? There are so many out there.

MrsMaizel · 04/06/2021 12:14

It's not average looking IRL. That would be like comparing an H Samuels ring to a Tiffany . The photo really doesn't do it justice .

sansucre · 04/06/2021 12:15

I don't really understand the OP's comment about 'sort of hating fashion', however, that's by the by as that dress isn't fashion.

It's overpriced for it is, and has the potential to look v. frumpy on to. Save your money!

HelpMeh · 04/06/2021 12:17

I don't like it personally and I'd be annoyed to pay that much for a dress that wasn't pattern matched at the seams.

You don't think tea dresses are in fashion ? 🤔
RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 04/06/2021 12:52

Polyester lining doesn't equal summer dress. Very overpriced too.

brakespeare · 04/06/2021 13:08

I think its lovely, like the way its styled and if it's jigsaw it will look and feel high quality and not the same as £25 from new look. It is overpriced but so is everything in that middle bracket....

CheerfulBunny · 04/06/2021 13:14

It's OK but my initial thought was that it's a bit 'droopy' which as others have noted is mostly down to the model and how it's been styled. Really not selling it! There have been a few threads recently with similar dresses from M&S at about a third of the price of this one so you could have three for the price of one. They should be reasonable quality. Their Ghost collaboration collection is lovely - if there's any left.

Herja · 04/06/2021 13:20

The lining is 100% polyester.

That's an awful lot of money for a dress that will make you stink in the summer heat. (Certainly would with me anyway!)

midsomermurderess · 04/06/2021 16:07

It's pretty but £165 for a viscose dress seems a bit mad.

mommybunny · 04/06/2021 16:17

Frankly I’m amazed that with every clothing brand around flogging tea dresses this summer this was the ONLY one you could “tolerate”? Completely agree with those who say it’s fine but not special for that price. Maybe if the model stood up straight it would sell it better.

Randomo · 04/06/2021 16:30

I dont think it would suit someone slim, but would suit someone of medium/busty build.

savvy7 · 04/06/2021 16:54

I would want a natural fibre dress, especially for the summer.

Maireas · 04/06/2021 19:55

I don't think it's overpriced, I like Jigsaw, everything I've bought from there is good quality, lasts and hangs well. You're not going to get a comparable dress from New Look. Having said that, I agree with pp about the polyester lining. It won't be cool.
