How can I look for a dress similar to this?

I thought I'd copied the link but it hasn't worked. I'll try again, but in the meantime I'd like to ask for help finding a dress similar to the Toast forte ikat wrap dress. I would never spend that kind of money on a dress but I love it so much. I love the 80s vibe, the colours, the cut, that it's cotton and has pockets... I'll try to link to it, but if anyone knows of anywhere producing similar dresses at an easier price please tell me!!!

@dudsville what size do you need? I've bought some fantastic vintage dresses off of eBay before so if it's an 80's vibe like that you're going for check there. I can keep an eye out for you if you tell me the size

Have you saved money in the pandemic? Commuting, eating out, cinema, petrol etc? I’ve justified a couple of purchases that way! :)

There are some toast dresses in ikat fabric on eBay in similar styles. I haven’t found that one yet though. It is an amazing dress and I agree with pp’s about buying things you love, but I think you’re very sensible op and I wish I had your restraint.

For a dress like this from toast I would be a 12. I'm wary of ebay though, I don't really know how to use it and I bought a toast dress off there last year and it wasn't the size it said it was, it reeked of some powerful unidentifiable scent, like a Berry
scented car "freshner", and the seller didn't take returns (I didn't know this before I purchased). I think I have to stick with actual shops.

I think I'll just have to admire this dress from afar. I will pop into a toast shop and see if they have samples to try on. Fingers crossed i just hate it or it looks terrible on me so I can bust the dream! But I just don't think I need such an expensive dress. If I do cave however I will come back and let you all know!

I would agree with you, OP. Avoid these internet sites, go into Toast and treat yourself!

@Miseryisabutterfly the first dress you posted is in Ikat fabric (I have it) but the second one isn’t I think. If you only want a graphic 80s print, that’s very doable at a lower price point, but if you want Ikat and that exclusive print, only the Toast dress will do.

I know @AuldFox, I just thought it was a good price and a similar vibe!

I popped in to a toast shop yesterday and they didn't have a sample to examine. That makes things easier!
