Zara: is sizing still teeny?

Haven’t bought from there for yonks but I remember sizing was always tiny, designed for petite Spanish body shapes rather than my somewhat more robust Scandi-type body (tall, broad shoulders) Gosh I hope I’m
Not just totally stereotyping here...

Has that changed at all?! I’m a medium in Cos. Do you think a large would be safest in Zara? It’s for quite drapey, loose dresses so obviously I don’t want to be drowned but on the other hand it’s MEANT to look drapey and loose rather than a wee bit tight!

I am small in the bust but with wide rib cage, broad shoulders, roughly a 10 in the lower body and a 12 on top.

I've always found Zara sizing in tops and dresses quite generous. I'm a good 16 and an xl is frequently too big for me. Trousers I couldn't get anywhere near though!

I think its really random sizing rather than large or small!

Bought jeans for my daughter last week which were sized as expected, possibly slightly generous.

Random sizing. I find Zara trousers in large fit me fine, same with the length but the tops and dresses are often too small. Not able to try anything on at the moment is a pain.

I'm your shape and haven't brought anything from zara shop for over a year, but when I did it could be a medium but sometimes a large, it just depends on the item, I do have summer pull on trousers in a small, but they are elastic waist, I just brought a zara dress off ebay, the famous animal print midi shirtdress, went for the large and I couldn't believe how big it was, measurements across the chest flat was 20/21 inches, so had to resell, it's hit and miss with zara.

I find most styles there are quite oversized and boxy now. I've got a larger bust and am a size 10 and I buy an XS or a S and some of them are still too big. There are loads of smaller people than me so I can't quite understand how they find clothes that actually fit unless they want to look like they're swimming in them. Have a look at the shirt on the model online as well as the flat lay image to get a better idea of fit. I would think you'd probably be a M in most of the styles at the moment

It completely depends on the item. They’re all over the place. You can enter your shape, bust size, height and weight into a generator and it will tell you what size people similar to you have bought and not returned. I always use it and mostly end up with the right fit. Slightly jarring when you’re told to buy jeans in an 8 for one style and 14 for another though!

I take an XS and while I am very slim, I'm also tall and not petite as such. I have no idea what small and slim people would do with Zara sizing.

Thanks everyone!

I may try to pop into one of the stores this weekend as I don’t want to order several sizes in 3 or 4 different dresses to send most of them back... if it was just one dress I would do it but I am choosing between several.

Random sizing is a pain!!

Thank you all
