I realised this when watching a stylist on this morning this week. Am I the only one who didn’t know this?!

It's an Italian brand, so I'd imagine it's pronounced soo PAIR ga, if you get me.

I’m not sure the stylist is correct to be honest. I’ve only ever heard it said the way you’ve said.

No it's not.
It's pronounced "soo-pair-gah" as @YourCakesAreShit says.

I bet The Duchess of Cambridge doesn’t have this problem, when she wants to wear her’s. She never looks as though one has been retrieved from a flower bed
